Photographer, Susan Bloom's, interest in photography started at an early age taking pictures with her father. When she was 14-years-old she got her first 35 mm SLR camera when she took a 5 week long trip to Japan as a 4-H exchange student. Her interest grew from there. In high school she photographed basketball games for the Oakley Graphic. Later she was the official photographer for the Logan County Centennial edition of the Oakley Graphic.

For several years, while her children were small, Bloom mostly took pictures of family activities. She started putting together a calendar with pictures of family members during this time.

It was in 2005, after her 35 MM. SLR camera was dropped, that Bloom purchased a digital camera and got very excited about photography again. Since that time Bloom's passion in photography has been rekindled along with an increasing interest in editing in PhotoShop.
